Meet the artist

Claire Hogan is a Chicago based artist and designer. She works in many styles but her main focuses are accessory design, product design, and mixed media painting and sculptural work. In her fine art practice she often employs the use of various materials including foam, wax, ceramic, found objects, and more. Everyday food and objects are the main focus of Claire’s work as she transforms things like jell-o, pop-tarts, cake, crayons, clown wings, furniture, trophies, and more pulling our new meanings and ideas from them. Conceptually most of Claire’s work focuses on ideas of fear, domestic spaces, and memory usualy featuring dark and humorous undertones. Claire graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May of 2018 and is currently working on her own fine arts practice as well as starting her own sports themed accessory line.
